Message from the Chancellor
Greetings from the San Bernardino Community College District!
We are one of 72 districts in the California Community College system, representing 112 community colleges. The district is comprised of two colleges, San Bernardino Valley College (SBVC) and Crafton Hills College (CHC); the Professional Development Center (PDC); and our own public television and radio station, KVCR TV-FM.
Students from SBVC and CHC graduate with Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees, transfer to a university for a baccalaureate degree, or enter the job market with a certificate from one of our many vocational programs. We believe we're successful at our mission of preparing students "to contribute effectively and ethically as citizens of a rapidly changing and increasingly technological world."
The Professional Development Center offers small businesses and working adults opportunities to participate in meaningful professional development activities at an affordable price. The PDC and Applied Technology Training facilities boast cutting-edge hardware to provide the latest technology instruction, as well as performance-based consulting and needs assessments.
Our goals include increasing college enrollment, improving the transfer rate of students to higher education, increasing our role in economic development, and expanding the educational and broadcast services of KVCR.
