Lost & Found Property 

The Police Department is the location for all Lost & Found items.  Lost items may be turned in to the Police Department during business hours. We do not take any food or clothing items. Lost & Found inquiries may be made via phone at (909) 384-4491, or in person at the following locations:

Valley College District Police Office at Campus Center Room 100
701 S. Mount Vernon Ave., San Bernardino, CA 92410 (South of the Bookstore)

Crafton Hills College District Police Office at LADM Room 153
11711 Sand Canyon Road, Yucaipa, CA 92399 (in parking lot E)

Lost and found items are held for 90 days, and then disposed of in accordance with applicable laws and department policy.  If the property is not claimed by the owner, the property may be claimed by the finder (a Found Property Affidavit must be filled out and signed).  If the finder has reason to believe who the owner is, or how the owner may be contacted, and fails to make a just and reasonable effort to restore the property to the owner, is guilty of theft (California Penal Code section 485)

Per California Civil Code 2080.3(b) employees of any public agency may not claim  items/ lost property they find during the course of employment. 

Property may be claimed from 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday-Friday.  *To claim property you must show a valid photo I.D.
